In 2021, thirty years after her sister’s feminicide, Cristina Rivera Garza publishes El invencible verano de Liliana, in which she rebuilds the patches of a life cut off by patriarchal violence. The analysis examines how the writer, at the same times she traces back the official archive, she starts digging in the intimate archive, and in this journey between the public and the private, the spinal anchoring of the materiality of a halfway writing, or in the frontier, between fiction and non-fiction. It is shown how she chooses disruptive ways to do justice and fix memory on her sister‘s femicide, and in this gesture, she establishes alliances and makes visible fights and theoretical contributions of feminism in the last decades.
