Abstract

En este ensayo me propongo estudiar cómo Óscar Liera, en su texto dramático Las fábulas perversas, echa mano de los recursos de la farsa para construir una visión profundamente crítica de un episodio relevante de la historia de México. El dramaturgo recrea la figura de Fray Servando Teresa de Mier y lo convierte, mediante los tonos de la risa, en un referente y un símbolo de libertad, que se opone a los abusos del poder al tiempo que desenmascara sus fábulas perversas.

Claudia Gidi, Universidad Veracruzana

Claudia Gidi is a researcher at the Instituto de Investigaciones Lingüístico-Literarias of the Universidad Veracruzana and a member of the SNI. Her main lines of research are Hispanic-American dramatic literature and aesthetic manifestations of laughter. She is the author of the books Death and laughter in literature. Strokes of an enigma (2019); Tragedy, laughter and disenchantment in contemporary Mexican theater (2016), and Games of absurdity and laughter in drama (2012). He has coordinated three books in collaboration: Risa y genre menor (2017); Laughter: lights and shadows. Disciplinary Studies (2012), and Women and Mexican Dramaturgy of the 20th Century. Critical Approaches (2011). He has published several book chapters and articles in specialized magazines.
