Abstract

This article offers a metapoetic reading of Muertos y disfraces (1974), by Marco Antonio Campos, with the aim of elucidating how the poet redefines the meaning and function of poetry in a context marked by ideological crisis and the exhaustion of grand historical narratives of the twentieth century. Through close readings of representative poems, the study identifies a translucent poetics that engages both with literary tradition and a lucid awareness of poetic practice. Campos interrogates the utility of poetry, explores its expressive limits, and sustains it as a form of critical lucidity. The analysis suggests that historical disenchantment does not lead to renunciation, but rather to the reaffirmation of the poetic word and its ethical vocation.

Claudia Saraí Fernández López, Universidad Auntónoma Metropolitana

Claudia Saraí Fernández López es Licenciada en Lenguas, Maestra en Humanidades: Estudios Literarios y Doctora en Humanidades: Estudios Literarios, por la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México. Su línea de investigación es Literatura latinoamericana y estudios sobre poética siglos XX y XXI. Como becaria del Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología CONACYT, realizó estancias de investigación en la Universidad de Murcia, España, así como en la Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) “José Simeón Cañas” (UCA), en El Salvador.
Ha participado como ponente en congresos sobre Literatura y Filosofía. Ha sido docente de la Licenciatura en Lenguas en la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México y en el Centro de Lenguas Extranjeras de la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM-A). Actualmente, realiza una estancia posdoctoral con el apoyo de la Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación (SECIHTI) y en colaboración con la Maestría en Literatura Mexicana Contemporánea de la UAM Azcapotzalco.
