Verónica Gerber Bicecci defines herself as a “visual artist who writes”, so it is not surprising to find a relation between text, image and sight in her work. However, it is also possible to recognize a sustained interest in sound and enunciation. In this article we will part from the role of silence, to move on to the representation of the voice, and arrive at her most recent performances. Beside analyzing her intermedial strategies, we may understand the dialogue that the author establishes with contemporary artists and works, through different strategies of reappropriation and commentary. All this as part of her own creative processes, as well as her aesthetic and even ideological stance.Published
