Abstract

La neuroética puede entenderse de dos formas: entre 1973 y 2002 se entendió como una “ética de la neurociencia”, y a partir de 2002 se ha entendido también como una “neurociencia de la ética”. En el primer sentido no sería más que una rama de la bioética sin novedad alguna. En el segundo sentido algunos consideran que se trata de un nuevo saber, una nueva forma de fundamentar la ética desde la neurobiología y no desde el saber filosófico. En su primera década de desarrollo hay dos puntos en los que coinciden prácticamente todos los autores. En este trabajo se aborda el desarrollo de estas dos bases que resultan necesarias para construir o para criticar la neuroética en tanto que “neurociencia de la ética”.
