Antonio Acevedo Escobedo was one of the most prolific authors and one of the most prominent cultural promoters of the 20th century. During his long career he had a predilection for topics such as the history of our letters and the recovery of forgotten writers. While he was Head of the Department of Literature at INBA, he promoted a series of conferences focused on these issues. Among them are highlighted "La confidencia epistolar", where they invited renowned authors to recount some passages of their mail in front of the public. Acevedo Escobedo was only an organizer, but over time it developed that his correspondence was not only extensive, but also profuse in data that will help to complete the literary panorama of the last century. This article is a review of the relationship that Acevedo Escobedo had with the epistolary genre and a review of some letters from his archive.
