Artivism with humor en Las miserables de Las Reina Chulas

This article is an approach to the ideas, construction and humorous resources in Las miserables (2016), Las Reinas Chulas’ play, in order to recognize cabaret and humor as resources of an artivism that can provoque cultural, political or social changes. This company is an obligatory reference to understand and value contemporary mexican cabaret-theater, which has been characterized, since its origins in the 1980s, by its creative criticism and commitment to feminism and the LGTB+ community. Using the French Revolution as context, the play refers to women's rights, sexual diversity and gender violence. Its timely release in 2016 coincided with the elaboratión of the first Constitution of Mexico City.
