Evaluation

The articles must successfully pass the academic review process, which will operate under the double-blind peer review modality, where the identity of the authors and reviewers will remain anonymous. It should be noted that interpretations and analyses must be based on a rigorous theoretical and conceptual framework.

  1. Articles that meet the submission criteria will be sent to experts in the same disciplinary and thematic area as the submitted text. These experts will be selected from a pool of specialists from national and international institutions to provide comments on the relevance and academic quality of the proposed text and determine the feasibility of its publication. In case of discrepancies in the review, a third reviewer will be assigned to resolve the outcome.
  2. Reviewers will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing the academic, theoretical, and methodological relevance of each assigned article. They will review the presence and appropriate use of the theoretical-methodological section, its coherence with the field of study, the consistency between the academic contribution and the relevance of the described findings, as well as the currency and timeliness of the bibliography used.
  3. Finally, based on the recommendations of the reviewers, the decision may be:
  • Recommend publication without modifications.
  • Recommend publication with minor changes that do not require a second review by the referees.
  • Condition publication on making significant changes.
  • Not recommend publication.
  1. For a text to be approved for publication, it is essential to have two positive reviews.
  2. The editorial board will ensure that the reviews provided to the authors contain solid arguments that support the editorial decision.
  3. The results of the academic review process are final and cannot be appealed.
  4. In case of receiving observations, authors will have a period of fifteen calendar days to submit a revised version of the work to the magazine. If no comments are received, the editorial coordination of the magazine will assume that the authors have given their tacit approval.
  5. The time for the document to be reviewed will depend on the number of articles on the waiting list. Reviewers will have four weeks upon receiving the article to conduct the review and deliver the result.
  6. The final decision of the reviews will be notified to the author within four months from the date of receiving the article.
  7. Accepted articles will undergo the editing process (style correction, metadata marking, formatting, layout, etc.) to be included in the corresponding issue, according to the decision of the magazine's editorial board.
  8. The results are final and cannot be appealed.
