Abstract

The present work seeks to analyze the relationship of Mauricio Beuchot's analogical hermeneutics proposal with his previous studies published to document the history of New Spain philosophy, finding in these the root of the famous Beuchot proposal.

Author Biography

Luis Aarón Jesús Patiño Palafox, FFyL UNAM

Graduate, Master and Doctor in Philosophy from UNAM. Professor at FFyL UNAM (in the College of Philosophy and SUAYED) and in the degree in Philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities of Uaeméx. He has been a guest professor to teach the optional subject “Mexican Philosophy: 16th-18th Centuries”, within the framework of the Master's Degree in Spanish and Ibero-American Thought, Autonomous University of Madrid, in 2019, 2020 and 2021. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (S.N.I.), Level I, of the Philosophical Association of Mexico, of the Association of Philosophical Hispanism and the New Spain World Association (AMNAC). He has participated as a speaker, lecturer and organizer in national and international conferences and colloquiums. His main lines of research are Mexican and Latin American philosophy, as well as the dissemination of philosophy. He is the author of the book Juan Ginés de Sepúlveda and his imperialist thought (Los libros de Homero, Novohispania, 2007 and Porrúa, 2013); Lucas Alamán and the formation of Mexican conservatism in the first half of the 19th century (UASLP, LAMBDA, 2023) and coordinator of The dissemination of philosophy, is it necessary? (Torres y Asociados, 2016), among other publications.
