Abstract

Assuming that all ontology is a mere totalitarian, colonialist and normative meta-narrative, postmodernity interpreted –by default– that the production of pure discursive fictions and social identifications without ontological commitments would represent itself as a liberating performance. In the particular case of sexual difference, queer or trans-feminist postmodernity has considered that the socio-imaginary production of multiple self-identified genders would liberate women from being such. The following pages aim at explaining why the de-ontology of sexual difference and its replacement by countless socio-imaginary identifications is in itself conceptual, epistemic, and symbolic violence, the basis for any other violence.

Key-words

Queer theories, post/trans-feminism, sexual difference, genders, intersectionality.
