Some considerations about Socrates’s death regarding the question of the end of life in the present world

This article presents the main changes regarding to the experience of death occured since the 30 ́s in the 20th century: increase of life espectancy at birth, sudden death as an ideal, dehumanization of death. In this sense, the philosophy is asked for the reflection it makes on this topic. Specifically, the article examines the Socratic approach that expresses the conviction that, for a just person, death is not an evil and there is hope that it ́ll be a benefit.References
